Brooke Powers Ph.D., HSP-P, RYT, CCTP
Owner; Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Powers (She/They), licensed psychologist and our CEO, offers services focusing on work with trauma/complex trauma, eating disorder and body image recovery, LGBTQ, CNM/Poly, and relationship concerns. Utilizing methods such EMDR, emotion-focused, and parts work, Dr. Powers seeks to build a holistic practice which centers the client and their unique experience.

Sarah Gaughan MA, ATR-P, LPCC
Postgraduate Master's Resident & Art Therapist
Sarah is passionate about creating a warm, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey. Drawing from a trauma-informed and client-centered approach, she works collaboratively with clients navigating life transitions, grief, self-esteem concerns, chronic illness, and addiction. When appropriate and desired, she incorporates art therapy and creative expression to support growth, self-discovery, and meaningful change.

Aspen Young Psy.D.
Postdoctoral Resident
Dr. Aspen Young (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Resident at Mosaic who takes a holistic, integrative approach to therapy, combining evidence-based practices with a deep respect for the mind-body connection. She believes each person has the capacity for meaningful change and works to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel supported and empowered. Aspen personalizes therapy to each client’s goals, emphasizing growth, resilience, and practical skills for navigating life’s challenges.

Melissa Phifer, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker; Therapist
Melissa Phifer (She/Her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering services focused on trauma, depression, anxiety, anger management, and conflict resolution. Melissa enjoys creating a safe space for clients to explore their unique desires for their growth and healing. Melissa incorporates a mindful, self-compassion based approach to therapy and believes that self-acceptance is the doorway to change. I am honored to walk alongside you in your journey to self- empowerment.

Tabitha Alverio Ph.D
Postdoctoral Resident; Psychometrist
Dr. Alverio (She/Her/Ella) is a psychologist who believes that healing begins with feeling truly seen and understood. Her approach combines authenticity, compassion, and curiosity through a multicultural, person-centered lens. She help clients explore their stories, make space for difficult emotions, and reconnect with what matters most to them. She is especially passionate about supporting Veterans and individuals navigating identity, trauma, and life transitions. At the heart of her work is the belief that growth happens when we create space for self-awareness, acceptance, and genuine connection.

Ryan Ciaburri LPCC
Postgraduate Master's Resident
Ryan Ciaburri is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a focus on trauma healing through IFS and EMDR. As a transgender male therapist, he understands the importance of representation in the therapy room and is deeply committed to creating safe, affirming spaces for individuals on their healing journeys. Outside of sessions, Ryan enjoys hiking with his dog, exploring new restaurants with his partner, and spending time in nature.

Sarah Munoz Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Resident
Dr. Sarah Muñoz (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Resident providing individual, couples, and group therapy both virtually and in person. She specializes in trauma, identity exploration, religious concerns, and relationship dynamics, drawing from EMDR, ACT, and IPT. Dr. Muñoz is dedicated to affirming care for marginalized communities and integrates a social justice lens into her collaborative, culturally responsive approach.

Pauline Freud Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist; Training Coordinator
Dr. Pauline Freud (she/her) is a licensed psychologist providing virtual therapy across multiple states. She specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship concerns, attachment, and identity development. Drawing from psychodynamic, existential, ACT, and DBT approaches, she tailors treatment to each client’s needs and goals. Dr. Freud approaches therapy with compassion and accessibility, centering client strengths and autonomy to foster empowerment and self-acceptance.

Emma Durham Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist; Assessment Coordinator
Dr. Emma Durham (they/them) is a licensed psychologist specializing in psychological assessments for ADHD, ASD, and complex personality/mood/behavioral concerns. Whether your presentation is rooted in neurodivergence, complex trauma, or another origin, their goal is to make the assessment process affirming and educational so you can leave with a better understanding of yourself. Additionally, they takes pride in integrating identity into the assessment process and diagnostic consideration.

Alexis Schroeder B.A., B.S
Administrative Assistant and Personal Trainer
Alexis Schroeder, B.A., B.S. (She/They) is our administrative assistant who manages our behind the scenes. Outside of her current position, Alexis is a passionate disability and LGBTQ activist who plans to pursue a career in counseling. They are also a certified personal trainer who focuses on making health and wellness more accessible and enjoyable. They strive to build a practice which builds on their current work within both clinical, activist, and wellness spaces in order to create accessible, authentic care.

Leah Baumann (She/Her) is a senior at the University of Colorado Boulder majoring in Psychology and Communication. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school to pursue social work to become a therapist! She is originally from Columbus, Ohio, and loves animals, reading, yoga, and spending time with the people I love the most!

Jocelyn Phelps
Community Engagement Intern
Jocelyn Phelps is a junior at the University of Colorado, Boulder majoring in psychology. After graduating, she plans to go on to get a Master's and PsyD. In her career, she hopes to be a clinical psychologist and enter the counseling field. Jocelyn is passionate about helping survivors of trauma, as well as those with depression, substance abuse, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. She wants to become an expert in CBT and work to understand others better, as well as themselves. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, watching TV and movies, and playing guitar.
