My Story
Graduated with their B.A. in Psychology and B.S. in Medical Anthropology with a minor in Sociology at Southern Methodist University, Alexis is a fierce advocate for human rights and trauma informed care. Passionate about advocating for disabled and queer communities, Alexis completed three research articles which explore the intersections of identity, disability, discrimination, and spirituality.
Both professionally and through my studies, I specialize in Queer and Disabled populations where I advocate for representation by the represented. I have served on boards and collaborative projects which promote culture and accessibility within both of these communities. Going from here, I am pursuing education and experience towards becoming a licensed psychologist and build a practice which integrates the mind and body connection to promote mental health.

Most days, at home reading, at the gym, hiking, traveling, or trying new restaurants/coffee shops. Accompanying me through my work days though is Dante, my Leopard Gecko. Outside of all of this, I am massive nerd with particular interests in mythology, anime and political-based fantasy series (like Arcane), and history.
