Undergraduate Social Media and Marketing Internship

Welcome to our undergraduate social media and marketing intern position! We are excited to offer a rolling basis internship for a semester or longer, which can be fully virtual or hybrid to accommodate your preferences. If you choose the hybrid option, we can arrange in-person meetings with your supervisor in the Denver area. We look forward to working with you and helping you gain experience in the field of counseling/psychology, private practice, social media, and marketing.

Preferred Majors:

  • Open to all majors (Psychology majors preferred)

  • Able to intern Summer 2024 or Fall 2024

  • 3.0 GPA or higher preferred

  • Previous success with professional commitments (e.g. work, school, prior internships)

 

Roles/Tasks:

  • Social media and marketing for a private practice startup

  • Business development

  • Networking and referral development

Learning outcomes:

Content Creation and Management:

  • Develop skills in creating engaging content tailored to different social media platforms.

  • Understand principles of visual design, copywriting, and multimedia content creation.

  • Learn techniques for scheduling, posting, and managing content effectively.

Audience Engagement and Community Building:

  • Identify target audiences and develop strategies for engaging with them on social media.

  • Learn methods for fostering online communities and encouraging user interaction.

  • Analyze metrics and feedback to assess the effectiveness of engagement efforts.

Business Development Strategies:

  • Understand the role of social media in broader business development and marketing strategies.

  • Learn techniques for leveraging social media to attract customers, generate leads, and drive sales.

  • Explore partnerships, collaborations, and influencer marketing opportunities on social media.

Professional Communication and Networking:

  • Develop strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions on social media.

  • Practice networking etiquette and relationship-building techniques in online business environments.

  • Cultivate a professional online presence and personal brand.

Reflection and Professional Development:

  • Engage in regular reflection on internship experiences, challenges, and learning outcomes.

  • Identify strengths, areas for improvement, and goals for continued professional development.

  • Seek and incorporate feedback from supervisors, peers, and self-assessment to enhance performance and skills.

For this internship, we are looking for someone experience with a private practice setting and has a passion for mental health. Mosaic Therapy Collective is a small team committed to providing holistic care to those who need it. As a small business, woman-owned and queer-identified collective, we understand the importance of inclusive care for all and we are selective about who joins the team with a heart for this mission.

For this internship we are looking for someone who feels comfortable with working fully remote, as we are based out of Colorado and most services offered are online. For this internship, we are looking for someone who is organized, able to manage multiple roles at once, manage time well, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively. Weekly meetings will be set up for checking in on responsibilities and to provide support throughout internship. This internship is for class credit only at this time. Roles will focus on private practice business startup, such as marketing, networking, and referral source building as well as a primary role of developing and heading all social media and website efforts.

Check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit.
