About the Role

This is a remote internship role for an Undergraduate Counseling Intern. The Undergraduate Counseling Intern will work with a licensed psychologist to provide administrative support for mental health services, including social media and marketing focus and overall business development. In this role, you'll be responsible for spearheading social media and marketing efforts to promote a private practice startup. This entails crafting engaging content, managing various social media platforms, and implementing marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and attract clients. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in business development, identifying growth opportunities, forging partnerships, and executing initiatives to expand the practice's reach and revenue streams. Networking will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as you'll cultivate relationships within the industry to generate referrals and foster collaborative partnerships, ultimately contributing to the overall success and growth of the practice.

Requirements

  • Open to all majors (Psychology majors preferred)

  • Able to intern Summer 2024 or Fall 2024

  • 3.0 GPA or higher preferred

  • Previous success with professional commitments (e.g. work, school, prior internships)

  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong time management, prioritization, and independent work abilities

  • Familiarity with mental health terminology, theories, legal and ethical standards, and practices

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

  • Demonstrated interest in the field of mental health


Preference will be given to candidates who have some prior experience in counseling, helping professions, and/or related fields, as well as those who demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusivity in their work.
