About Melissa

My name is Melissa Phifer and I am a licensed clinical social worker. My vision is that clients will feel empowered to explore their values and experiences to help them build a life that aligns with their own vision for themselves. I desire for clients to experience therapy as a safe place to explore their experiences and values. I desire to walk alongside my clients in a supportive alliance that honors the clients unique identity. As a social worker I value collaboration with community organizations such as schools, human services organizations, and non-profit organizations that provide needed resources to clients. I specialize in areas such as general mental health, trauma, (C)-PTSD, and ADHD. Through modalities such as CBT, ACT, EMDR, my personal approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths based and grounded in systems and ecological theory.
