What Therapy With Me Looks Like
I value creating a therapeutic space that is compassionate, affirming, and grounded in respect for each client’s lived experience. Cultural humility and social justice are central to my work, and I strive to remain thoughtful and reflective in how identity, culture, and systems impact mental health and healing. I am especially committed to working with marginalized and diverse communities in a way that feels empowering and collaborative. I see therapy as a process of both healing and growth, where clients can better understand themselves while developing tools to navigate life with greater ease and clarity.
I strive to create a therapy experience where clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My hope is that clients leave therapy not only with greater insight and coping skills, but also with a stronger sense of self-compassion and confidence in their ability to navigate challenges. My broader vision is to contribute to a community where mental health care is accessible, culturally responsive, and viewed as an essential part of overall well-being.
My Path to Becoming a Therapist
My path to psychology was shaped by an interest in understanding the connection between health, culture, and emotional well-being. As I learned more about the impact of trauma, chronic stress, and barriers to accessing care, I became increasingly passionate about supporting individuals who may not always feel seen, understood, or represented within healthcare systems.
What inspires me most about this work is the privilege of helping people make sense of their experiences, discover their strengths, and create meaningful change in their lives. I believe therapy can be a powerful space for healing, growth, and self-discovery, and I am grateful to be part of that process with my clients.
A Little About Me
Beyond my work, I am guided by a love of learning, traveling, and experiencing different cultures. I enjoy exploring new places, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and gaining a broader understanding of the world. These experiences continually challenge my perspectives, foster curiosity, and deepen my appreciation for the many ways people find meaning, connection, and resilience in their lives.
I am deeply connected to my family, my cultural roots, and my community. I value meaningful relationships and the opportunity to support and learn from others. Many of the most important lessons in my life have come through connection, whether through family, friendships, mentorship, or community. These relationships have shaped who I am and continue to influence both my personal and professional life.
